They have worked as an associate and assistant for designers including Thom Weaver, Peter Jakubowski, Eileen Smitheimer, and Weston WIlkerson.  They were the the resident programmer for the Wilma Theater, and toured with the national tour of Kinky Boots as the Assistant Electrician. They have programmed lighting for shows including A Night with Sting: The Last Ship at the Public Theater as seen on PBS Great Performances, and The Children's Health Fund Benefit (2013) at the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center.

Jojo received their B.A. from Temple University's School of Theater, Film and Media Arts. Their hobbies include photography and gaming.
